Meloche has been widely played (and interviewed) across Canada including Vancouver, Edmonton, London (radio and television), Toronto, Ottawa, Guelph and Montreal. His music has also been featured on the CBC radio program “Two New Hours.” His work has also been played on radio stations outside of Canada including Boston, Baltimore, London (England) and broadcast internationally on Radio Moscow. His work has been the subject of articles in The Windsor Star, The London Free Press and Scene magazine (London) as well as on the CFPL-TV (London) and Global (Toronto) news. His work “LINK”: A Radio Music Performance Without Borders generated interest from around the world and led to interviews on Radio France International (Paris), Radio Budapest (Hungary) and the Voice of America (Washington, DC).
BROADCASTING
Meloche currently hosts the radio programme “Wired for Sound” has taken the place of “New Directions.” He had been the co-host of the radio programme “New Directions” on Radio Western, CHRW-FM, London since April 1990. His position with the programme also included research and acquisition of material from International Music Centres. He currently corresponds with centres in Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Iceland, Finland, Austria etc… as well as with individual composers and artists from around the world. In 2015 retired from his radio hosting position on April 21. It coincided with the 25th anniversary of his time broadcasting on CHRW.
In June of 1991, Meloche and Herb Bayley were guest hosts of the radio programme “Sons d’esprit” on CKUT-FM, Montreal during the CEC >>Perspectives->-> electroacoustic music festival.
Meloche also hosted “THE RADIO SHOW” (on CHRW-FM 1990-92) which is a weekly programme exploring the world of international broadcasting and related subjects. He was also the host of a regular segment on the programme “DX Party Line” on HCJB – The Voice of the Andes in Quito, Ecuador. The segment was entitled “ODXA Perspectives” and was broadcast internationally on a monthly basis.

Meloche is one of the founding group of members of the Canadian Electroacoustic Community, an organization (based in Montreal) which represents and links many Canadian contemporary music composers across the country as well as around the world. He is also one of the founding group of members of The World Forum for Acoustic Ecology.
In January of 1990, Meloche had the distinction of receiving the international radio broadcast premiere of his work “Moscow Calling” on Radio Moscow, USSR.
His work “LINK”: A Radio Music Performance Without Borders was acknowledged world-wide by international radio broadcasters and led to features on such radio stations as RadioFrance International (Paris), Radio Budapest (Hungary) and the Voice of America (Washington, DC). These radio features are estimated to have reached an audience of approximately 100,000,000 listeners.
Meloche was Music Series Director at the Forest City Gallery, London from 1988 to 1991 and was also a part of the jury for the CEC Electroacoustic Days concerts to be held at Concordia University in Montreal, June 1991.
WORKS IN PROGRESS / FUTURE PLANS
Meloche plans to continue researching and expanding his approach to computer system applications towards “process” music, algorithmic composition and “sound intallations.”
He also plans to do more concert appearances featuring the incorporation of electronically altered acoustic instruments as well as computer and electronic works.
